About Me

After studying at the UPC in Barcelona, I completed my MSc and PhD in "Energy Engineering and Industrial Technologies" in 2012 at UniversitĂ  di Firenze.

Afterward, I have been a research fellow at the Department of Information Engineering for four years, working on the simulation of distribution networks and resilience to contingencies. Later, I have worked at the Italian National Research Council on Cultural Heritage diagnosis and monitoring via IoT.

Still hungry, I am currently enrolled in a MSc in Theoretical Physics, as an exchange student at TU Dresden (Germany).

Some topics I have focussed on are:

  • Energy systems
  • Heat pumps and HVAC design
  • Distribution networks operation and resilience to contingencies
  • Activity scheduling
  • Flood modelling
  • Data management for WSN in cultural heritage applications
  • Design of FMCW radars for cultural heritage diagnosis
  • Development of photogrammetry toolchains

I am very keen on languages (I have studied many, with very heterogeneous degrees of success...), I like tinkering in C++ and Python (mainly for home automation projects). I love playing the piano and the flute, and stargazing in cold winter nights with my C8.
